I entered my school’s photography studio freshman year with little faith in my technical and artistic abilities. However, my love for the craft grew exponentially with each day I spent developing film in the darkroom, a process which seemed hopelessly romantic to me. Three years, four photo books, and countless prints later, I have acquired a sense of confidence that can only come from partaking in work that I love. I have photographed both public and private events, held two one-woman showcases and won my regional contests. Photography has taught me to look at everyday objects and places with wonderment, to search endlessly for perspectives as yet not captured, to experiment without fear of failure, and to always do what I love.
